With the increasing availability of waste liquid crystal display (LCD) glass, exploring its potential as a sustainable construction material is gaining interest. Prior studies have hinted at the possibility of enhancing concrete durability by integrating LCD glass powder, yet empirical support for the corrosion resistivity of LCD incorporated concrete is sparse. This study aims to bridge this gap through a thorough evaluation of the durability performance of concrete with LCD glass powder. Various tests, including hydration product analysis, pore structure characterization, chloride binding capacity, chloride penetration resistance and acid neutralization capacity test were employed to assess the performance of concrete specimens with varying LCD glass powder levels. The results demonstrated that while the incorporation of LCD glass powder led to certain improvements like increased chloride binding capacity. SEM/EDX imaging revealed C(A)SH gel and hydration reactions at the LCD glass powder-cement matrix interface. When compared to fly ash (FA), an aluminosilicate material, LCD glass powder was found to contribute to pore refinement and promote early pozzolanic reactions due to its amorphous nature. whereas challenges in pH stability and corrosion resistance were noted.
