Application of Road Autonomous Driving with Railway Train Control and Analysis of Efficiency Improvement Effects on Car Following Model

초록

With the development of sensing, artificial intelligence, and communication technologies, the technological perfection of autonomous driving has reached a relatively high level, but its practical application involves legal, institutional, and ethical issues, and there are many difficulties. Applying the central control method of a railway to road autonomous driving and conducting a demonstration run on a road dedicated to autonomous vehicles can help solve technical and institutional issues. This can effectively control vehicle spacing and lane changes, and improve safety and efficiency. This paper analyzes the car following control model of a vehicle using the railway central method, proposes a method to derive the main parameters of the model, and presents an efficiency improvement effect by comparing new model with existing model.
