Design & Verification Process of Electric Windscreen Wiper for High Speed Train

초록

Although windscreen wiper system is an essential device for safe running in high-speed train, all wiper system used in Korea are pneumatic type imported since the introduction of the high-speed railway. Considering a tendency to use an electric type wiper system which is simple in construction and easy to control, it has been developing to achieve a quick and efficient maintenance, to reduce the failure of itself or its component, and to provide cheap and stable supply and demand since 2017. For an electric wiper system of high speed train, the process for detail design and performance verification were proposed to satisfy design requirements and target specifications derived from railway undertakers or vehicle manufacturers.
