초록
The egress path in urban railway tunnels is a critical infrastructure element that facilitates the rapid evacuation of passengers during emergencies such as fires. According to the Railway Facility Technical Standards, the minimum width of egress paths for high-speed, conventional, and metropolitan railways is stipulated as 0.7 meters. However, no specific standard exists for urban railway tunnels, where maintenance walkways approximately 0.5 meters wide are often used as evacuation routes. To establish appropriate width standards, this study conducted evacuation simulations using SIMULEX and Pathfinder. The results showed that a minimum egress path width of 700 mm satisfies the evacuation time requirement for single-file evacuation, while a width of at least 1200 mm significantly reduces congestion and enables smooth movement during two-abreast evacuation. These quantitative findings can serve as a valuable reference for developing future design standards for egress paths in urban railway tunnels.
