In high-speed transportation systems such as the HyperTube, vehicle position detection is essential for controlling the propulsion system of linear synchronous motors. This position detection requires high precision and must be performed wirelessly due to the lack of physical connection with the ground. Additionally, as the vehicle travels, it experiences lateral and vertical vibrations, making it necessary to analyze the impact of such deviations on the accuracy of the position detection system. This paper analyzes the impact of vertical and horizontal displacements of a HyperTube vehicle equipped with a transmitting coil on the phase error of the position detection system using cross-inductive coils. Utilizing three-dimensional electromagnetic simulations, we derived the changes in induced voltage according to the position deviations of the transmitting coil and calculated the phase values to evaluate the errors. We confirmed that the phase error due to a 10 cm right and a 10 cm lower displacement was within 2 degrees, corresponding to a position error of less than 1.35 cm, indicating minimal impact from the displacements. As a result, using cross-inductive coils for the position detection system can significantly contribute to the practical application and enhanced safety of the HyperTube system.
