초록
In the ballasted track required maintenance, impact loading incurred by wheel rail interaction at contact in the interval of the rapid change of roadbed structure and materials accelerates the deterioration of ballast layer. A ballast layer including with artificial gravel was proposed as a method to reduce the deterioration of ballast in response to an impact load. Unbreakable two types of artificial gravels were manufactured using shape characteristics and high strength concrete. And an impact load tester was developed to simulate an impact load by a freely falling plate with a weight attached thereto. The 4,000 times of impact loading were applied. It was confirmed that not only artificial gravel but also the shape of artificial gravel gives effect on the settlement and fragment of the ballast layer.
