초록
Recently, the functions and complexity of embedded software for railway systems are rapidly increasing and, accordingly, the probability of train accidents and delays due to potential defects in software is increasing. Especially, fatal errors caused by malfunctions of software during train operation can be directly related to human casualties, so software validation must be done through various methods, and evaluation and verification must be possible. In addition, software testing and verification activities are already stipulated as 'HR: Highly Recommend' in the railroad software safety-related international standards. In this paper, we present the results of development of a reliability analysis method and support tool that can quantitatively predict and evaluate railway software defects by incorporating evaluation procedures suggested by international standards to prevent potential defects in railway software.
