Study on the Fracture of Pressure Vessels for Hydrogen Filling by Semi-elliptical Cracks

초록

Hydrogen storage vessels require safe designs to prevent explosions under high pressure. In addition, the effect ofcracks on the fracture of hydrogen storage vessels must be predicted because if cracks occur during themanufacturing process of hydrogen storage vessels, fractures may begin in the cracks under high hydrogen pressure. In this study, the effects of the charging pressure, crack depth, and crack length on the fracture of hydrogen storagevessels were analyzed using a three-dimensional finite element method, and the stress intensity factor and J integralvalue were presented.
