초록
This study proposes a lightweight design for inboard bogie frames in high speed railway vehicles through the application of an I-shape section and topology optimization. The I-shape section inboard bogie was designed based on structural analysis of an inboard bogie concept design, and its structural safety was evaluated according to the European safety standard EN 13749. For additional reduction of mass, topology optimization was performed for the secondary components where lower stress levels occurred. The results of structural safety analysis confirmed that the inboard bogie frame with I-shape section and topology optimization applied satisfied railway vehicle safety standards. In addition, additional mass reduction of approximately 5.1% was achieved through the I-shape section, and approximately 12.7% through topology optimization.
