Antimicrobial Coating with Polysaccharide based Composites on Textiles and Its Application
초록
The antibacterial and antiviral properties of polymer textiles coated with a combination of metals and natural polysaccharides were investigated in this study. In comparison to textiles coated with a single agent, multi coating process decreased the amount of coating materials and reduced contact time with bacteria, achieving an antibacterial efficiency of over 99.9% against E, coli and S. aureus. While metals played : key role in enhancing contact killing, polysaccharides not only boosted antibacterial activities but also served as a template for binding metals. The resulting polymer textiles demonstrated antiviral efficiency exceeding 99.9% against influenza A(H1N1) and SARS-CoV-2. The large area of multi-coated textiles could be efficiently manufactured through 8 roll-to roll coating process, highlighting their potential applicability in antimicrobial coating products.
