Contribution Analysis of Interior Noise on the High-Speed Trains using Operational Transfer Path Analysis

Excess interior noise of high-speed trains causes annoyance, fatigue and stress to passengers. Specifying noise sources and their transfer path characteristics are necessary for obtain effective mitigation measures of the interior noise in the highspeed train. Therefore, in this research, the contributions analysis of the interior noise in a high-speed train was conducted. At first, noise measurement of major interior noise sources was conducted. The transfer functions between the noise sources and interior noise were also deduced by operational transfer path analysis. Then, the contribution analysis of the interior noise was conducted from the synthesis of the transfer functions and noise sources measurements. Finally, the main noise sources of the interior noise in the frequency domain were derived from the contribution analysis.
