Study on Evacuation Experiments Using Augmented Reality Devices

초록

This paper examines the integration of augmented reality(AR) technology in safety management and disaster response. It specifically seeks to use AR tools to identify the relationship between varying smoke density and the duration of evacuation procedures. The objective of this study is to validate the utility of AR in improving evacuation drills and to suggest possibilities for further research. During the study, different environments with assorted smoke densities were simulated, and an AR-driven guidance system was employed to track and analyze evacuation times. Findings reveal that an increase in smoke density corresponds with extended evacuation durations and reduced speeds. This evidence supports the idea that AR can effectively replicate real-life smoke conditions in training scenarios, thereby broadening the scope of AR applications in enhancing effective disaster response strategies.
